Ciaté’s caviar manicure

Nail art has never been more experimental, and the latest product causing a stir is UK nail polish brand Ciaté’s caviar manicure kit which offers a beaded effect echoing the 3D looks that have been dominating the runways.

The caviar effect isn’t completely new: for Fall/Winter 11 at New York label Cushnie et Ochs, celebrity nail technician Pattie Yankee created nails that looked as though they had been dipped in caviar by sprinkling beads sourced from the collection over wet Dashing Diva nail polish.

But now Ciaté’s kit will make creating the effect easier, with the tiny caviar-like pearls provided to be applied over a Ciaté Paint Pot color for a 3D beaded effect.

Available in three colors — black, white and multicolored — the sets launch this April in stores and online at www.ciate.co.uk.

Since the explosion of nail art in the past few years, nail polish brands have been constantly looking for new ways to create a buzz. Last year companies including OPI and China Glaze embraced the crackle effect trend with their product launches, while Nails Inc. released a polish line called Magnetic Attraction which came with an embedded magnet to create a rippled effect. –AFP RELAXNEWS
