Amelia Ooi, group account manager
If you’ve got fair skin like Amelia’s, makeup artist Low Jyue Huey recommends applying a sheer wash of pale peach blusher on the entire cheek to mimic a natural flush. Powdery pinks work well for those with cool undertones, while peach shades are more flattering for those with warm undertones. If you’re going for a natural-looking flush, Jyue Huey suggests picking a matte colour.

Medium toned skin
Lesley Ann Chai, group account manager
For those with medium-toned skin like Lesley’s, Jyue Huey recommends pinkish-mauve shades – these provide just the right pop of colour without adding any ruddiness. Swirl the colour onto the apples of the cheeks with a duo-fibre brush (these brushes are designed to deposit the sheerest wash of colour; as you reach the centre of your cheeks, use a lighter hand to tone down the colour.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Blush in #16 Mauve Mistique, $54; Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Zygomatic, $42; Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Blush in #310 Rosewood, $50; Gosh Giant Blush in #02 Shy, $28.90
Nurasyidah Abdul Razak, assistant project manager
Since subtle colours may not show up well on a darker skin tone like Nurasyidah’s, Jyue Huey recommends using a blusher that has shimmer to draw attention to the cheekbones and give skin a healthy glow. Peach hues packed with shimmer are flattering on tan skin and will give a dewy looking finish.
