Hair treatments are more innovative than ever these days.
From tourmaline-infused blow-drys to gold-enriched hair masques – with so many high-tech procedures readily available, the sheer choice can be mind-boggling.
We caught up with super stylist and colourist Leza Winn to find out what’s fuelling the demand for high-tech hair.
“I think people are more trusting of science and technology than ever and are willing to go the extra mile to achieve the best results for their hair,” says Leza, who works her magic at Michaeljohn Mayfair.
“Also people really value the convenience that these high tech hair treatments can offer.
“For example the Brazilian Blow Dry and Biolustre Revamp Smoothing Treatment – which has no formaldehyde – keeps hair smooth and shiny for up to three months and alleviates the need for styling in the morning.
“Also the Multisonic Great Lengths Hair Extensions Machine allows five bonds to be applied at once which halves the time of traditional hair extensions application,” she adds.
High tech treatments aren’t only for the brave. If laidback locks are more your thing, there are plenty of clever products to primp your tresses to perfection.
“The key to super shiny hair is a good conditioner treatment, blow drying hair the right way and a good quality serum.
“I use Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, which is a pre-shampoo conditioning treatment.
“It delivers moisture to the hair’s cuticle and makes it more supple and shiny.
“You could also try Kerastase Couture Styling Touche Finale serum which gives the hair a beautiful sleek finish,” she adds – © Cover Media
