Estee Lauder fall 2012
The launch of Estée Lauder’s Fall collection Violet Underground is one to behold.

Picking up on one of the runways most beloved fall colours the brand once again blends fashion and beauty.

“Inspired by multiple cultures, styles and textures, this collection is the ultimate fusion of high style and street chic that takes glam rock to a new dimension with a fantastical aesthetic revolution of deep, vibrant violet and fuchsia tones,” says the press release.

And indeed, there are some real gems in this collection. Have a look at these three.

Pure Color Quick-Thick EyeLiner in Punker Black, $36
Estée Lauder calls this ‘liner with attitude’ and it sure takes some attitude to wear this bold, black felt tip marker. But given that daring eyeliner is one of the season’s hottest trends, you might as well get used to it.

Pure Color Gloss, $36
In the collection we see lipgloss in two different shades, cool currant and cool violet, both with silver shimmer. Neither is a shade for a wallflower, but if you feel like murder on the dance floor, these both disco lip glosses are a great investment.

Pure Color Five Color EyeShadow Palette in Violet Underground, $80
The star of the show. Eye shadow palette created by Creative Director and makeup artist Tom Pecheux, with five shades ranging from a pinkish champagne to a midnight blue/plum colour via a bright fuchsia that sure isn’t for the faint hearted. Mix the softer hues for a flattering everyday look or use the brighter to make your features pop. © Cover Media
