Desk to dance floor hair
Need a quick fix hairstyle that will take you from desk to the dance floor this Christmas?

Well you’re in luck as we’ve put together a guide to the simplest yet most stylish five-minute hair dos.

Sleek ponytail
Ponytails are this season’s hot look and a great way to transform hair from day to night. Wear your hair down during the day then simply gather by gliding a natural bristle brush from root-to-tip and securing it with a snag-free hair band. You can position your ponytail at the nape of the neck for an understated look, midway between the top of your ears, or for extra visual impact, go for a sky high ponytail that trails beautifully down the back. Disguise the hair band by wrapping a section of the ponytail around it and secure with a clip, then apply a small amount of smoothing balm to your palms and glide them down the length of the ponytail and over your head for a really sleek, shiny finish.

Turbo top knot
Pull your hair up high to the position you want the bun, it can sit anywhere you like, and secure with a band and bun ring. Once the hair is in a ponytail, backcomb and spray in sections using a firm hold hairspray. Manipulate the hair into the shape of a bun, wrap it around a bun ring and secure with hair pins. The messier the better!

A super-chic quiff
Take a section of hair that’s to become the quiff and, using a comb, start teasing it from the back to the front. This will ensure you get as much volume as possible into the quiff while leaving the front as smooth and shiny. You can always glide a cushion brush gently over the front of the quiff to neaten it up. © Cover Media
