GO GREEN WITH AVEDA

To mark Earth month, Aveda has lined up a series of activities for good causes.

#1 Trim for charity

If it is time for you to have a haircut, why not do good for the environment at the same time?

Aveda is holding its Cut-a-thon event that benefits the Singapore Environment Council.

Hairstylists from participating salons, such as Urbanhair, Jeric Salon, Team Salon, Vox Studio and The Scene, will be offering haircuts at $25 a pop. All proceeds will go towards funding environmental sustainability projects.

The event will be held at Tangs Orchard’s beauty department, Level 1, next Monday and Tuesday, from 10.30am to 7pm.

Call 6329-1555 or e-mail avedamktg@luxeprofessional.com to make an appointment.

Aveda’s Light The Way candles are made with organic essential oils, vanilla, cinnamon and ylang ylang from Madagascar. They are also stored in recycled glass flacons and recycled cardboard boxes.

Each candle costs $35, and all proceeds will benefit the non-profit organisation Global Greengrants Fund, which aims to solve drinking-water issues in Madagascar.
