Emma Stone Oscars 2012 Braided Bun
She’s the actress who never fails to disappoint when it comes to ravishing red carpet hair.

And at last week’s glittering Oscars ceremony, Emma Stone looked more sensational than ever with a super-chic side-swept plaited twist.

Resplendent in a raspberry Giambattista Valli gown, the redhead’s ultra-polished up-do set off her red carpet look with elegance.

Taking inspiration from the ballerina bun, Emma’s do was an intricate affair, featuring all manner of twists and loops to create the gorgeously feminine look.

“I wanted to keep Emma’s hair structured without feeling too stiff and the bun allowed for her look to be simple and elegant yet fresh,” revealed Emma’s stylist Mara Roszak.

Here’s how she created the look.

1. The key to starting off Emma’s look was a sleek and smooth blow-dry, which Mara achieved using a Couture Colour Pequi Oil Treatment on wet hair.

2. To create the bun, Mara pulled hair into a mid-height ponytail divided it into two sections, which she roped together before wrapping the twisted tail into a chignon and securing it with bobby pins.

3. She set the look with Couture Colour’s Pequi Oil Finishing Polish and added a spritz of L’Oréal Elnett Extra Strong Hold Hairspray to finish the look. © Cover Media
