Party Lips
If you’re looking to sizzle at the festive parties this year, it’s high time you start thinking about your makeup.

And according to celebrity makeup artist Holly Silius, a gorgeous party look is not complete without a dazzling party pucker.

“I love a statement lip. My favourite look has to be a glitter lip which never fails to dazzle,” says Holly, who has worked with everyone from Katy Perry to Lily Allen.

Here are Holly’s top tips for luminous lips this season.

M.A.C lip liner in Redd
This is a rich, creamy liner, which is perfect for creating a base. I always start off using it all over the lip. Not only does it create an even hue, it will also help stop any lipstick you apply from bleeding.

Chanel Rouge Allure in Palpitante
This gorgeous blue-red hue is full of intensity with a super-sleek texture. A must for the party season.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture
This high-impact lipstick doesn’t budge and is a super-moisturising orangey red. I absolutely love it.

Tom Ford Violet Fatale
A gorgeously bright plum which is dark and mysterious. And best of all, it stays put so you can get eat and drink without it disappearing.

M.A.C Melon Pigment
Once you’ve settled on your lip shade, dab some of this gold pigment onto the inner middle part of your lip. It looks super sexy and looks like you have made loads of effort. Melon Pigment is great or a golden eyeshadow from Korres is perfect as they are quite velvety and not drying.

M.A.C lipstick in Ruby Woo
An intense red, which I would suggest using as a base, before adding a dab of the MAC glitter on top.

Violent Lips Tattoos
If you’re feeling adventurous, why not make a statement with Violent Lip Tattoos. They are pretty ‘out there’ but a definite wow for the party season. © Cover Media
