If you have a strong fondness for candles, fragrances and perfumes (the extra luxe or unique in particular) then you may already know of Escentials. This luxury fragrance and beauty retail concept by Singapore beauty giant Luxasia stocks high-end cult brands like Byredo, Diptyque, By Terry, Verso, 3Lab and more.
Escentials.com has launched in its first phase, with a decent selection of over 400 of the store’s key offerings and best-sellers (including many of our favourite scents and skincare products). As it stands, the full range of brands and products has not yet been added to the site’s inventory. Thankfully, new products are being uploaded weekly and the full Escentials portfolio of over 1000 products will eventually be purchasable online. Can I get a hell yes?
But we must chip in now…the site isn’t all shopping! It has also launched a weekly e-magazine with interviews, beauty tips, makeup tutorials, product reviews and techniques from industry leaders such as beauty editors, stylists and makeup artists.
At herworldplus.com, we’ve featured our cult luxury favourites on more than one occasion. Despite the higher price tags, we can’t deny the appeal of certain beauty indulgences. So if you’re ever in the mood to treat yourself and you do so love your beauty products, Escentials is one of the stores we’d recommend you check out.
We know heading to the brick and mortar stores may be inevitable if you want to sniff out the many perfumes and candles to find your favourites. But with the convenience of the e-commerce site, you don’t have to buy or leave it on the spot if you aren’t sure about making your purchase. You can go home, sleep on it, and if you still want it the next day, you just have to go online and order it. This is the kind of shopping life we like!
To get you started on your Escentials.com journey, we’ve picked out a few recommendations you can shop right now.
#1 Glamglow Poutmud Wet Lip Treatment, $35
These lip treatments are packed with nourishing ingredients like sweet almond oil, cocoa oil, murumuru butter, shea butters, tamanu oil and babassu oil. You can choose from five different shades of nude, hot pink, red, plum and coral.
#2 Byredo Blanche EDP, $281 for 100ml
One of the more popular “clean” scents, this airy and light fragrance is quite unique. We can’t promise everyone will love it, but if you have been searching for a scent that is light and clean, give it a shot. You can try out the 50ml version for $191.
#3 Diptyque Baies scented candle, $44 for 70g
You’ve probably seen these candles on many an Instagram flatlay. They come in two sizses, and the larger one retails for $102. Now we recommend having a look at them in person to find your favourite scent, but the Baies scent (which smells like a bouquet of roses, and blackcurrant leaves) is one of Diptyques’s best-sellers.
#4 Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lip Gloss, $42
This magical tube of green lip gloss is a colour-changing wonder. It works by adapting to the temperature of your lips, giving them a rosy finish that’s high shine and shimmery. The best part is that this gloss also cares for your lips with ingredients like shea butter, natural oils, hyaluronic acid and a natural peptide that stimulates collagen.
#5 Annick Goutal Petite Cherie EDP, $290 for 100ml
One of the more popular scents from the brand, this one was created by Annick as a tribute to her daughter Camille. It has a rather unique combination of fresh and fruity notes like pear, freshly cut grass, peach, musky rose, and vanilla.
