After 2 incredibly successful Disney launches, Colourpop has once again released another magical collection in October – and it’s the most ethereal one of them all.
The Disney Designer Midnight Masquerade Collection contains a large 15-pan eyeshadow palette, eight Lux Liquid Lipsticks and eight blushes and highlighters. While Colourpop’s smooth, pigmented formulas are absolutely to die for, it’s the Disney Princess designs on the packaging that’s causing a stir among beauty lovers.
The Midnight Masquerade palette features eight Disney Princesses in glamorous, party-ready outfits inspired by their classic, original gowns. The collection features our favourite princesses from Belle to Rapunzel, and even lesser known but still widely loved princesses like Hercules’ Megara and Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Our favourites in this collection consist of the Down in New Orleans set inspired by Princess Tiana, which includes a statement-making bold red liquid lip that has a velvety, mousse-like formula and a shimmery blush for a natural cheeky flush, as well as the Midnight Masquerade eyeshadow palette, which is undoubtedly the star of the show. This versatile palette has colours that’ll take your eye look from one that’s natural to one that’s sure to make you the belle of the ball.
Colourpop doesn’t just specialise in metallic and glittery eyeshadows though. They’re also a great go-to brand if you’re looking a foundation that’ll give you lightweight coverage and allows your natural skin tone to peek through. The fan-favourite Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturiser is formulated with coconut oil and of course, hyaluronic acid, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the skin for a soft, dewy glow.
And if you’ve got any pesky blemishes that are still peeking through, pop on the No Filter Concealer for some high-coverage, crease-free action. The concealer comes in 30 shades, so you’re sure to find the perfect match for your skin no matter your undertone.
Did we also mention that Colourpop has widened their range of lip products? When they first started out, it was their Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks that caught everyone’s attention. Albeit a little drying, it was the spectrum of colours that had every makeup lover excitedly adding the lipsticks to their cart.
Since then, they’ve released over 40 shades of Crème Lux Lipsticks which are newly formulated with a blend of hydrating butters to ensure that they slide on your lips seamlessly and stay all day. If you’re after a fuller-looking pout with a high-shine finish, grab the So Juicy Plumping Gloss instead. This formula promises to hydrate your lips without it feeling too sticky.
But that’s not all. In 2018, Colourpop decided to up the ante and make their mark in the world of skincare by announcing the release of Fourth Ray Beauty, a 100% cruelty-free and vegan skincare line. While they’ve got extremely effective cleansers and exfoliators, it’s their face milks that are always running out of stock.
Each one of their eight face milks serve different purposes for the skin: the Tumeric Face Milk acts as an illuminating moisture booster to promote radiant skin, while the Matcha Face Milk promises to help refresh tired skin. Other face milks include strawberry, rose, papaya and watermelon, and each of them targets different skin issues you may be facing.
Shipping costs
Don’t let shipping costs hold you back from Building Your Own Palette or getting those lippie stix. Colourpop’s old system of charging shipping costs by the size and weight of products is no more – you can now shop to your heart’s content.
The standard shipping fee for shipping is US$9.99. We don’t imagine you’ll be buying more than 23 liquid lipsticks or 66 gel liners at one go, but if you spend over US$50, shipping is free.
So grab your girlfriends and shop away.
