Yummy mummy working hard for her money © Imedeen
If you were a fashion-obsessed nineties kid, you may remember Christy Turlington’s infamous popularisation of the navel ring; we have a scar on our belly to show for that (thanks, Christy).
Turlington, Campbell, Crawford, Evangelista, Moss – what is it with these runway goddesses and their obstinate refusal to age? (Well, Moss … maybe not so much.)
We’ve always fancied Christy T the most out of that motley bunch, mostly because she’s the imaginary ideal Mum in our heads: Regal, ravishing, nurturing and no-nonsense. So we’re stoked to inform you that she’s found the perfect new gig as the global face of one of our favourite skin supplement brands, Imedeen.
The exclusive behind-the-scenes visuals you see here are a nice reminder of all that’s great about the woman: I mean, that face is, as they say in excitable beauty-speak, totally “flawless” without being frozen in place. Absolutely stunning.
Flattering studio lighting aside, Christy credits a twice daily serving of Imedeen Time Perfection for her lit-from-within mien. Take it from the brand itself, which says that the capsules are “scientifically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles”.
As for Christy herself, she’s a woman after our own food-loving heart. To wit: “Now more than ever, it’s important that I nourish myself in every way possible to take care of my health and well-being. Caring for my skin on the inside is just as important as how I care for the outside.”
Even better, Imedeen will be adding to the coffers of Every Mother Counts, in a sort of charitable barter deal with Christy. EMC is a not-for-profit joint which aims to halt death by pregnancy and childbirth the world over.
Pretty neat, yes. Expect to see the full Imedeen campaign when it drops later this year, and consider getting a bottle of beauty for your own Mum today!
Imedeen Time Perfection, $135.40 for 60 tablets, are available at Guardian, Watson’s, Unity Healthcare, Robinsons and other leading pharmacies. For more information, visit www.imedeen.com.sg.
