Crepey Neck
The skin on your neck is not only thinner than that on your face, but the muscles here are weaker too. Collagen loss, therefore, shows up more seriously. And with attention focused on caring for the face, the neck is often neglected, making it more susceptible to wrinkles and sagging.

Try: Pond’s Age Miracle Firm & lift Face & Neck Lifting Day Cream SPF30/PA+++, $39.90, is said to build collagen and speed up skin cell regeneration. This helps to tighten the fibres beneath the surface of the skin, effectively blurring the look of deep lines and wrinkles.

Thinning Lips
Collagen deterioration is the primary culprit of your lips becoming thin and dry. This is worsened by UV exposure.

Try: Urban Decay Revolution Lipgloss, $33 (available in 14 shades), has an oh-so-creamy texture that goes on and spreads smoothly. The formula is also designed to define, hydrate and plump up your pout.

Dry Hands
There is very little fat on the back of your hand, so the slightest loss in collagen can cause it to thin and start looking crinkly. Pigmentation also shows up earliest here.

Try: L’Occitane Citrus Verbena Hand Cream Gel, $15 (30ml), blends together verbena and citrus into an aroma so refreshing you’ll be wanting to slather it on several times a day. Here’s to super-soft and supple paws!

Wrinkly Knees and Elbows
As fibres and muscles lose their suppleness, the skin around the joints, like knees and elbows, may start to sag and become wobbly. The dearth of sweat glands and moisture content also contributes to the dry and flaky patches.

Try: Bio-oil, $15.50 (60ml), $25.90 (125ml) and $35.90 (200ml), contains goodies like vitamins A and E, as well as natural plant oils of lavender, calendula, rosemary and camomile, to relax and nourish skin. Purcellin Oil speeds up absorption into skin to prevent an oily residue.
