BB cushion compacts have long been a Korean beauty staple but, plenty of Western brands have jumped on the bandwagon and created cushion versions of their best-selling foundations.
After all, when you’re travelling and don’t quite have the luggage space for a full bottle of foundation and a Beauty Blender, a cushion compact is the next best thing. Whether you prefer a matte finish, a dewy finish, here are some of our favourite hydrating cushions that will give your skin that added glow and keep you looking fresh all day.

For starters, the cushion offers enough coverage to even out uneven skin tones and conceal minor blemishes. Plus, because it blends so easily, your skin still looks natural after application.
Formulated with deep sea water, the cushion compact offers instant hydration but has a light matte finish — perfect for those with oily skin.

The first of its kind, Laneige’s Layering Cover Cushion And Concealing Base is a 2-in-1 foundation and concealer cushion.
This ultimately means that the cushion offers higher coverage than most but is also really hydrating.
We love that because of the two types of cushion available in one product, you can easily switch up the kind of finish you want. With just the cushion foundation, you’ll get a dewy finish but when mixed with the concealer cushion, you can achieve a semi-matte finish.
3. Perfect Magic Cover Fit Cushion, $47, Aprilskin

Besides offering full coverage, Aprilskin’s Magic Cover Fit Cushion also offers intense hydration thanks to the fact that it’s formulated with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid.

The first ever cushion foundation from the brand, NARS’ Aqua Glow Cushion doesn’t just hydrate skin when applied, it also offers medium (but buildable) coverage.
Available in six shades created for Asian skin tones, the formula also features an anti-pollution technology to protect skin. Expect a semi-matte finish with this compact cushion.

When it comes to packaging, no one does it better than Urban Decay and their Glow Cushion’s iridescent case.
The cushion is formulated with skin-nourishing ingredients to help tone and firm skin while hydrating skin too. We’re also fans of how the cushion has a thin netting right over it to prevent you from accidentally soaking up too much. The cushion offers a slightly dewy finish.
