The Winner: Lagom Cellus Deep Moisture Cream

Lagom Cellus Deep Moisture Cream

This airy cream leaves my skin really soft and supple. Love using it at night as I wake up to plump and well-hydrated skin – even my pores look smaller.

Did you know that the skin is the largest organ we have? And it is also the one that is the most exposed to environmental aggressors that can dry it out, and leave it dull and fatigued. To keep skin healthy, infuse it with moisture. This strengthens its natural barrier to keep nasties out, while keeping it youthful and glowing from within.

What It Is:

A rich moisturising cream that keeps skin well-hydrated.

Its Claims:

This intensive moisturiser deeply hydrates, yet won’t clog pores, leaving the complexion smooth and supple. It also promises to firm skin, lighten pigmentation and refine skin texture. It’s suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Key Ingredients:

The ingredient Aqualicia® is a patented active ingredient that is present in all of Lagom’s products including their cleansers and toners. It delivers long-lasting hydration, while natural jojoba seed oil and resurrection plant callus culture binds moisture to the skin. It also has yeast amino acids, green tea extract, and rose and anise oils to boost cellular renewal and protect against free radical damage.

The whipped cream-like moisturiser goes on smoothly, but it has a slightly heavy texture that requires you to massage it into skin.

What Happened When We Used It:

We love how it intensely hydrates skin immediately upon application. It seems to leave a soft film over skin that seals in moisture to keep your complexion super soft and supple.

When used overnight, we woke up to the softest skin in the morning – even our pores looked smaller and there was a healthy glow too.

Our testers with combination and oily skin found it a tad too rich, so it’s better suited to dry or normal skin types. Or just keep it for night-time use, especially if you’re sleeping in an air-conditioned room – your skin will thank you for it.

Our only gripe though is that it’s not pillow-proof, so we had to ensure that we didn’t apply too thick a layer during our nightly skincare routine.

When we used it in the mornings, we found that it made for a good makeup base, keeping the skin smooth for makeup to go on more easily. It also has a subtle lemon scent that makes using it enjoyable. And because it is oh-so-subtle, it didn’t irritate our senses at all.
