As the age-old mantra goes, beauty is more than just skin deep—a philosophy Clé de Peau Beauté wholeheartedly embraces. True radiance emanates from within, reflecting not only youthfulness but also strength, intelligence, and the power to make meaningful changes in your life.
Bringing this philosophy to life, Clé de Peau Beauté’s reformulated Key Radiance Care three-step skincare regimen is designed to lead the way.
Its secret? The unique Skin Intelligence approach, developed over more than four decades of research. By working with the skin’s innate ability to distinguish between positive and negative stimuli, it helps maintain optimal function, enhances texture, tone, and contours, and keeps skin youthful and resilient.
Lifelong Learning: The Right Support Helps You Thrive
Just as Skin Intelligence supports the skin to adapt and flourish, the right guidance can empower personal and professional growth. We spoke to four alumni of the Her World Mentorship Programme to explore how continuous learning, adaptability, and supportive mentorship have helped them thrive at different stages of life—unlocking their own inner radiance along the way.
Carol Lum, Senior Investment Director, Australian Trade and Investment Commission, and Mentor, Her World Mentorship Programme
For Carol, radiance is all about happiness. It’s about choosing optimism when the going gets tough and making it to the other side. “Because when that happens, your spirit glows so bright, it lifts everyone around you,” she adds.
To achieve that radiant spirit, Carol believes having the right support is crucial.
“In sports, the right coaches and teammates help you push through losses and celebrate wins. Like skin, we thrive best with the right support,” says Carol, who has worn many hats including the founder of Katapult, one of Singapore’s largest indoor trampoline parks
Alongside the right support, Carol credits lifelong learning as a key part of her success.
Having taken not one, but two career breaks, she’s had to rebuild her networks and relearn interview skills when returning to the workforce. Carol believes her tenacity, adaptability, and willingness to ask for help have been crucial in her journey. Now, she pays it forward through the Her World Mentorship Programme.
Through everything, Carol has learned to connect the dots across her career and life experiences, which has led to her building an unconventional yet fulfilling journey. “I learned event management not from corporate life, but from planning my kids’ birthday parties. If you can wrangle 30 sugar-high seven-year-olds, you can handle a ministerial visit!”
Fernn Lim, Chief Operating Officer, Audax, and Mentor, Her World Mentorship Programme
“Radiance goes beyond looks,” says Fernn. “It’s an energy and confidence that comes from being authentic and purposeful in life.”
For Fernn, being a mentor through the Her World Mentorship Programme gives her purpose, as she personally experienced its benefits during her time as a mentee under the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO) BoardAgender programme.
According to Fernn, being a mentor is about creating environments where learning is truly celebrated, which is why she champions the need for lifelong learning. In the fast-moving fintech industry, staying relevant is crucial. “Tech trends move very fast, and we have to constantly stay sharp and ready for the future.”
But lifelong learning is not just essential for her career. Fernn shares that it also drives her personal growth.
What makes learning even more exciting today is that it’s no longer confined to traditional methods. In addition to learning on the job, one can turn to social media platforms like YouTube, podcasts, and networking to gain insights.
“Lifelong learning is the support for your professional and personal growth, just like a good skincare routine,” she adds. “Both require ability—from the right skincare products—and adaptability—from lessons learned—to address challenges. And with both, you can thrive through any challenge.”
Beatrice Tok, Public Relations Professional, and Mentee, Her World Mentorship Programme
For Beatrice, stepping away from her full-time career is a decision she doesn’t regret. After all, it has given her precious time with her two daughters.
Like many women looking to resume their careers, Beatrice has her share of fears and doubts. But having a mentor has been invaluable in helping her rebuild her professional confidence, she shares.
Instead of dwelling on her career break, she chose to reframe the narrative—viewing the time as a strength and recognising the skills she gained through caregiving as valuable assets in a professional setting. According to Beatrice, her mentor’s perspective, support, and encouragement reminded her that a professional journey doesn’t have to be linear to be meaningful. “Her guidance has made me feel more prepared and confident about stepping back into work.”
That support has made all the difference. “Just like skin can bounce back and glow with the right care and treatment, I’ve learnt that with a strong and trusted support system—family, mentors, and self-care—I can grow and thrive through the different seasons of life,” she says.
With plans to return to the workforce, Beatrice is determined to stay relevant in her skill sets and keep abreast of developments in the public relations industry. “Lifelong learning serves as my bridge back to the workforce. It helps me refresh my skills and gives me the confidence to embrace new challenges.”
But it doesn’t stop there. On a personal level, lifelong learning also motivates Beatrice to grow alongside her children. She wants to show them that learning never stops—and that mummy is always discovering new things, just like them.
Through her unwavering spirit, Beatrice radiates confidence, kindness, and authenticity.
Natalina Chan, Regional Marketing Manager, WOGI, and Mentee, Her World Mentorship Programme
Having relocated to Singapore after spending three years in the United States as a military wife looking after her children, Natalina knows firsthand the fear of being left behind.
“The disruption in marketing has moved so fast—what took a month now takes two weeks with AI,” she shares. While she initially felt overwhelmed, Natalina overcame this by taking things one step at a time, mastering a few key AI tools instead of trying to understand everything at once.
Fortunately, she’s never alone in this journey. Her mentor in the Her World Mentorship Programme has been there every step of the way.
Life’s unpredictability means lifelong learning is crucial for Natalina to thrive. “It’s stretched me to know myself better, manage ambiguity, stay aligned to my purpose, and build resilience. It keeps opening new opportunities at every stage of life.”
And it is this quiet strength and resilience that radiates from Natalina today. “Radiance is when someone’s spirit shines,” she says. And Natalina dazzles.
