Add a touch of luxe to your makeup regime this season with a golden twist on the classic smokey eye.
Golden brown tones were everywhere throughout the Spring/Summer 13 shows but none were more beautiful than on the runway at Chloé where gilded peepers took centre stage.
Molten hues are certainly not a new trend, in fact metallic eyes were one of the biggest looks on the Fall/Winter runways.
But the Chloé golden-brown provides a fresh twist on the smouldering look so why not invest in some shimmering buys that will see you through the entire year.
Line and define:
To define a golden smoulder, a la Chloé, choose a soft and blendable warm brown kohl liner. Avon 24k Gold Brown Eyeliner gives a luminously sparkling colour. For a bolder gold, try Korres Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Gold. Rich in vegetable oils and waxes, plus macadamia nut oil and vitamin E, it’s a super soft pencil for smooth application.
Blend and shade:
Warm up your eyes with Bobbi Brown Led Chocolate & Gold Eye Palette, which is a densely-pigmented selection of golds and bronzes. These long-wearing shadows are brilliantly lustrous and highly-reflective. For a more shimmery look, you could try Stila Baked Eye Shadow Trio in Gold, Champagne and Brown. Blend all three colours for a Chloé -inspired rich, metallic look.
Complete the look by giving your lashes a volume boost with Dior Diorshow Extase Instant Oversize Volume Mascara. Enriched with black pearl pigments, the fibres coat and comb the lashes for a gorgeously voluminous look. – © COVER MEDIA
