What’s better than luxurious, fun new makeup launches?

Well, how about luxurious, fun and multitasking makeup?

That’s exactly what this new product, Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Blush is. It is a collection of six lip-and-cheek shades in a soft, super smooth gel texture. And it promised to give a pop of colour and dose of hydration wherever you apply it. Here are three reasons why this sleek colour-in-wand makeup product is our new makeup pouch staple.

#1. It’s the perfect cream blush formula

As much as I love a cream blusher to brighten the cheeks and give a pretty flush of colour, not all the formulas out there are easy to apply. Some tend to set on and stain the skin too quickly so they look patchy, while others with thicker textures don’t blend as easily. Chanel’s Rouge Coco Lip Blush however, is a dream to blend, and leaves a very subtle veil of colour on the skin that looks so natural. Additionally, the finish has a slight gloss to it, so it really makes cheeks pop and look smoother too. We declared it the easiest-to-blend cream blush formula the moment we tried it.

#2. It’s the best #MLBB lip colour

Want a lip colour that looks like you’re born with a naturally rosy pout? Then this lip colour is it. The soft gel texture of the Rouge Coco Lip Blush glides on and leaves a sheer, lip-loving, barely there wash of colour that seriously looks like your lips but better. Best part of all? Even if you have slightly chapped, dry lips, they are left buttery soft and smoothed over, and yet the gel-based formula doesn’t feel heavy or creamy, and is in fact pretty weightless on the lips.

#3. It can even be used as an eyeshadow

Pink, coral and even red toned eyeshadows are having a major moment. Especially with loads of Korean and Asian celebs, as well as local beauty influencers sporting the rosy hues on their lids. Pink tones particularly, are very flattering on medium to fair Asian skin tones. And the look is super easy to recreate. Just swipe Rouge Coco Lip Blush’s subtle colour on the eyelids, pat to blend with your fingertip and apply eyeliner and mascara for some definition.

#4. It’s packaging is so sleek and chic

Packaged like one of the very popular lip glosses from the French house, the Rouge Coco Lip Blush comes in a streamlined wand. The bottom is the clear frosted section where you can see the colour inside, and the screw off black top holds the sponge-tipped applicator. It is as compact and handy as any two-in-one makeup product can get.

Beauty editor’s tips to use:

Having used the Rouge Coco Lip Blush almost every day since I received it, here is one useful tip I have for making the most of it: Use your fingers to apply the colour, instead of directly with the wand. I swipe the sponge-tip applicator on my fingertip then apply it wherever I want to. This works if you’re a germ-phobe like me. After all, I like to use it on the lips, cheeks and eyes, so I got to be as hygienic as possible.

If you do apply Rouge Coco Lip Blush directly with the sponge tipped applicator, no worries, just wipe the applicator with a makeup remover wipe every few days.

Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Blush comes in 6 shades from red to a tinge of purple, and from rose nude to peachy pink. Available at all Chanel beauty counters and boutiques.
