If you’re a bit squeamish about pain, or already know you have a low pain threshold, then you’re going to like this non-invasive ‘facelift’ that celebrities like Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Linda Evangelista apparently all love.
WHAT IS IT?
Described as the ‘UK’s best selling anti-ageing facial treatment’ system, the CACI non-surgical facelift is a non-invasive procedure that is said to ‘tone, lift and re-educate the muscles of the face’ via the use of electric current and massage. The first clinic in Singapore to have the machine is Swuk Aesthetics located at Alexandra Central shopping centre. According to the team at Swuk the procedure is already super popular with their customers.
I tried the 90 minute procedure; you don’t feel any pain just the ‘jump’ of the skin as the micro electric current is run through your face during a firm massage. There’s a very little warmth in the skin but the Swuk team can also do a soothing, cooling mask that adds additional plumpness to the skin.
Yes, you do see some immediate tightening and ‘bouncy-ness’ to your skin immediately after your first procedure but you need to repeat the programme to get the best results, a more permanent ‘fix’ so to speak. While I personally didn’t at first think there was much change, a colleague remarked on how much ‘fresher’ I looked ‒ which is always a good thing, right? My skin is definitely more bouncy, which is also a good thing.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
The CACI non-surgical facelift is best for those who are scared of pain and don’t want to try something like Ulthera or Thermage. The treatment feels more like a facial than a hardcore medical procedure. It’s perfect for ‘freshening up’ before a big event too.
We tried the CACI non-surgical facelift at Swuk Aesthetics, Alexandra Central #02-25, 321 Alexandra Road, Singapore. For more information go to swukaesthetics.com or call 6250 1326 to make an appointment.
