Mac Cosmetics Big Brow Pencil, $33
Don’t be intimidated by the large crayon. This brow product actually gives off a more diffused colour with no harsh lines, and is really easy to blend. It’s great for giving the illusion of more volume if you have thinner brow hairs. This product comes in five shades so you should be able to find one that is perfect for you.

Nudestix Brow Wax, $33
I rarely use brow wax out of sheer laziness, but a clear wax makes it easy to keep brow hairs in place if you don’t want to add anymore pigment to your brows, and can be used almost like a primer prior to other products like brow powders, pencils, or crayons.

Browhaus Classic Brow Lead, $17.90
This one is as classic as they come. A brow pencil that needs a sharpener, with a spoolie on the other end. It’s more pencil than crayon, which makes it less pigmented but easier to build up if you’re a beginner and are not used to going in with a light hand.

NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour, $18
As the name suggests, this is a two-in-one that gives you a wonderfully sculpted brow and brow bone. The one downside is that the shades are paired up for you, meaning that different brow colours correspond with different brow bone highlight colours, which may not be suitable for your skin tone or hair colour. But if you find yourself a match out of the seven shades, then it’s a wonderfully affordable option.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color in Medium
Liquid brow liners are the one brow product I am least familiar with, but only because I find most of them too light to suit my brows. That said, they are perfect for drawing in tiny hair-like strokes if you have sparse brows, and have just enough pigment if you have lighter or dyed hair. They don’t blend like crayons, so you need a more precise hand to use them, but the results are amazing.

Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil, $42
There are two great uses for a brow pencil. They’re skinny enough to give you a wonderfully sharp wing, but also precise enough to mimic the appearance of tiny brow hairs. I like them best for the former purpose, but use them to fill in sparse areas if i’m lacking a brow powder. There are six shades to this product, if you’ve got medium to dark brown hair, shade number three might suit you well.

Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus Pencil & Gel in Brown, $34
Like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Definer and the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Brow, the larger retractable angled crayon on this Nudestix one makes it a lot quicker to fill in your brows, while still giving you enough precision should you want a sharper tail on your brows. What I love about this one in particular though, is that it comes with a little compartment at the bottom that houses a tiny spoolie and brow gel to set your brows in place.
