APIVITA EXPRESS BEAUTY MASK WITH SEA LAVENDER B2.png

Ever since stumbling upon APIVITA’s nifty Express Beauty facial mask line – which comes in addictive, good-for-skin “flavours” like apricot and aloe – we’ve tried to keep mum about our new nightly indulgence.

Sadly, our furtiveness was for naught: It appears an increasing swathe of beauty insiders have taken to the Greek holistic brand’s luxuriously creamy wash-off masks that address a slew of concerns, from fine lines to dullness.

Enter APIVITA’s latest addition to the line, which comes infused with soothing sea lavender and the brand’s signature bee resin-derived anti-inflammatory ingredient, propolis. Other skin goodies include richly moisturising honey, shea butter and wheat germ oil, as well as therapeutic lavender and geranium essential oils.

Now for a little botany lesson: The star ingredient, sea lavender, is a Mediterranean marine plant with flowers as gloriously blue as the waters it grows in, is said to sop up free radicals and damage inflicted by UV rays.

Because of its habitat’s high levels of sun and salt, the sea lavender has adapted to “hold” on to water and protect itself from UVA and UVB bombardment – properties which APIVITA says can be harnessed to hydrate and repair sun-damaged or irritated skin.

Suitable for all skin types, the Express Beauty Mask with Sea Lavender comes in a thick lilac cream which you’re can slather on after a day out in the sun. Relax for about ten minutes, then wash off with warm water to reveal supple, calmer skin!
