If you’re too lazy to drag your soul case out for a sauna, do a little DIY facial steam at home to treat your pores. Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with one teaspoon of water into a paste and massage your skin in circular motion for about a minute to exfoliate. After rinsing the paste off, bring the water to a boil, remove from heat and add the herbs to the water. Place your face about 12 inches from the water and lay a towel over your head to create a tent. Give it a steam for five to 10 minutes to open your pores.

Create your own salt scrub if you wish to save some time (and water). Make a concoction of 1/2 cup of Epsom salt, 1/2 cup of coconut oil and the juice of one lime or lemon. Keep it in a jar and use it once or twice a week depending on your skin’s needs.
