Alexander McQueen signs new fragrance deal with P&G PrestigeThe hottest news from the world of fine fragrance is that London-based luxury brand Alexander McQueen is shaping up to dive back into the world of perfume.

A deal announced Wednesday with P&G Prestige (which create scents for Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci and has just signed up Stella McCartney) paves the way for an exciting third fragrance by Alexander McQueen, the first since the brand’s previous perfumes were discontinued in 2008.

After the launch of Kingdom in 2003 and My Queen in 2005, Alexander McQueen stepped out of the fragrance game — “we believe it’s probably the most prominent brand that is not yet playing in the luxury beauty market,” P&G Prestige vice president Luigi Feola told WWD.

It’s exciting news for fans of the brand, who will also be pleased to hear that Midas-touch creative director Sarah Burton will be playing ‘a significant role’ in the design of future beauty products.

There’s no news yet on when we can expect said perfumes and beauty products.
