When it comes to a helping hand for your looks, why have one when you can have two? Prive Clinic offers aesthetic treatments that work in tandem to tone and sculpt the face and body with ease.
The benefits of doing complementing treatments is that each targets a different part of the face or body, while harnessing the best technology to treat your concerns. This, in turn, delivers more effective results and, sometimes, in a shorter span of time too. Think of it as reaping the best benefits from each technology and treatment available.
Putting your best face forward
Did you know that most aesthetic clinics only offer either Thermage or Ultherapy treatment to patients? Because of this, many doctors tend to be biased about which technology is better.
However, Prive Clinic is among a small handful of clinics that offer the two – both non-surgical, face-lifting treatments – in tandem. So when it comes to options and results, you’ll get an unbiased approach based on your needs.
Ultherapy is a US FDA-approved treatment that uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) energy to stimulate collagen production in the skin. It’s said to plump skin and give it a lift, so you look more youthful.
Thermage, on the other hand, uses radiofrequency (RF) to heat up the deeper skin layers. This, in turn, causes collagen in skin to contract, while promoting the production of new collagen at the same time to smooth and tighten loose skin.
At a glance, both treatments work to reduce the signs of ageing, but according to Dr Karen Soh, medical director of Prive Clinic, there are actually slight differences between the two.
Ultherapy is best suited for those with a fuller face as it best targets skin concerns such as heavy, sagging skin that create undesirable folds and jowls, while Thermage is more beneficial if you have sharp, bony features or are plagued with fine lines and wrinkles.
And because no woman has only one skin woe (we usually fall somewhere in between), this dual-combination treatment of Ultherapy and Thermage can deliver optimal results to slim, tighten and lift the different targeted areas as needed. It’s a custom-made treatment to help you achieve that plump and youthful-looking V-shaped face you’re looking for.
Getting smooth curves ahead
If you’re looking to lose just a bit of a bulge, Emsculpt and Coolsculpting can be combined to enhance body sculpting and toning results. The two treatments are non-surgical, with little downtime.
Coolsculpting uses cryolipolysis, also known as fat-freezing technology, to freeze the fat cells, sending them to permanent cell death. This effectively destroys them. These crystalised fat cells are then eliminated naturally via the body’s lymphatic and waste systems.
Fat freezing is a popular treatment as it can be done on multiple areas, such as the arms, tummy, muffin tops and thighs. In fact, studies have shown that it can reduce fat by up to 25 per cent in just one session.
However, as it does take time for the body to process and eliminate the fat cells, results can take up to three months to be clearly seen.
To complement and enhance your fat-freezing session, there is Emsculpt. The body-sculpting treatment uses High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy that induces supramaximal muscle contractions to build muscles and tone the body. A 30-minute session is similar to doing 20,000 crunches or squats.
Best bit? All this is done without you breaking a sweat. Common areas treated include the tummy, buttocks, inner thighs, biceps and triceps, with four to six sessions delivering the best results.
When combined, Emsculpt and Coolsculpting can not only help shave inches off your body, they also help reduce fat and increase muscle mass at the same time, for a physique that looks more trim and toned.
