Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, $52 for 50ml | Step one: Prime the skin If you didn’t know, Laura Mercier cosmetics were the pioneers of foundation primers. A foundation primer is a colourless gel which helps create a more even skin surface so skin texture appears smoother and it also ensures that makeup stays fresher and lasts longer throughout the day. To apply, place a five-cent sized dollop on your hand and lightly massage into skin in an outward and downward motion. To conceal dark-eye circles, use Laura Mercier’s Secret Concealer. Specifically designed for the eye area, this concealer glides easily on skin to cover any dark areas and to give your face a brighter look. With Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage, a little product goes a long way. To be applied with a brush, mix the two colours together to custom-blend your own shade to match your skin.
