super straight locks
If super-straight hair is on your beauty wish list this Spring, you’re right on trend.

Poker-straight, glossy locks have played a starring role throughout the Spring/Summer 13 runway shows.

But if you fancy taming your tresses, forget reaching for the straightening irons – because according to celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford, super-sleek locks don’t need to be ironed flat to get results.

“I find that girls often tell me that one of their major hair dilemmas is keeping hair straight and I will always give this same advice – It is imperative that you use the right products to keep your hair in tip top condition,” says Lee.

Here are Lee’s top tips for creating super simple, ultra-straight locks.

“This might seem like an unusual technique but it’s one that works,” says Lee. “And if you carry this technique on at least three times a week your hair should eventually become straighter.”

1. Divide your hair into four equal sections. Comb one section out and wet it thoroughly, apply Poker Straight Shampoo and lather like normal.

2. Comb through your hair only in that section, brush it down and add a very small spritz of hairspray.

3. Rinse out that section and comb it flat then add another very small amount of hairspray to it along with my Poker Straight Conditioner

4. Comb through again and brush thoroughly. Then roughly braid that section into one large braid. Repeat on all other sections.

5. Next, undo the braids while your hair is still wet and wrap a hair scarf over your hair and keep it covered for 45 minutes

6. Remove the scarf and comb your hair down – not out – and apply hairspray. © Cover Media
