From The Straits Times    |

Chanel recently tapped Italian makeup artist Lucia Pica as the brand’s new global creative makeup and colour designer. She will take on this new position from January 2015, which involves developing products in conjunction with the makeup studio in Paris.

We’ve already seen Pica’s work for the brand in the recent Rouge Allure, Fall and Holiday 2014 campaigns. Not forgetting Chanel’s spring campaign, which (by the way) really makes me want to fast-forward to 2015 already!

Since the news broke, I’ve been poking around online and scrolling through her Instagram account, “double tapping” on the many looks she has created for the runway as well as magazines such as Vogue Japan and i-D.

I’m particularly in love with her extreme eye makeup looks, which are perfect for the upcoming parties this holiday season. Here are five that will provide some great holiday makeup #inspo!

#1 Glossy Lids

Glossy lids are great for making nude makeup interesting.

#2 Full-on Glitter

Glitter is always appropriate for the holidays, so go all out with it!

#3 Bronze eyes and a bright lip

Who doesn’t love bronze? It’s the easiest colour to wear on the eyes. Pair it with a bright lip this time instead of the usual nude.

#4 Bright eyeshadow

Don’t let the pink scare you. Tone down this look by focusing the colour on the eyes alone. You might want to skip the eyeliner on the lower lash line.

#5 Doll lashes

If coloured eyeshadow isn’t really your thing, go with a more wearable smoky eye and pair it with doll-like lashes.
