Wide-awake eyes
If you’ve been burning the candle at both ends, it’s your eyes that will give you away.

But these days, with so many eye-boosting goodies on the beauty shelves, puffy peepers and tell-tale dark circles should be a perfectly avoidable beauty hazard.

So, what is the best plan of attack for gorgeously wide-awake eyes?

We caught up with pro makeup artist and skincare guru Louise Tear to gather her top tips.

“Your eyes really are the windows to your wellbeing,” says Louise.

“That’s why it’s so important to take good care of the delicate skin around your eyes.

“When cleansing or removing makeup, make sure you’re using a suitably sensitive product.

“And if those late nights are getting the better of you, a rich and reviving eye cream is the answer,” she adds.

Here are Louise’s top eye cream tips:

Chanel Sublimage Eye Regenerating Cream
This gorgeously rich cream targets loss of firmness and poor microcirculation to make your eyes look younger.

Decleor Relaxing Eye Cream
Packed with essential oils, this cream is moisturising but without being heavy, and the light formula also helps dark circles and puffiness.

Dermalogica Total Eye Care
This rich cream targets dark circles and puffiness leaving tired peepers looking revived and refreshed. It also features SPF15 sun protection.

Eve Lom Eye Cream
Key ingredients include Jiaogulan to help to enhance blood circulation and reduce puffiness, and extracts of Swiss Garden Cress for an even skin tone.

Weleda Pomegranate Firming Eye Cream
Containing pomegranate seed oil, which is packed with anti-oxidants, this cream promises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in the eye area by 23 per cent after a month.  © Cover Media
