#1 The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Velvet Stick in #50 Poppy Universal, $29.90.
Don’t be fooled by the colour – the black changes to a unique shade of pink once applied on skin. It works by reacting to the skin’s pH and moisture levels, and skin temperature. The final hue will vary from person to person, and athough this buttery balm gives a matte finish, it doesn’t dry out skin. The colour lasts for about eight hours on cheeks.
#2 Dior Cheek & Lip Glow in #001 Instant Blushing Rosy Tint, $60.
Get a natural-looking flush in under a minute with this lip-and-cheek tint. It has a glaze-like texture that is easy to blend, and the subtle rosy hue is great for most skin tones. Just dab it onto cheeks for a dewy flush and glide it onto lips for a glossy finish that lasts for about five hours.
#3 Peripera Peri’s Tint, $9.90.
Due to its lightweight, watery formula, we didn’t think this rosy stain would last as long as it did – six hours. It was easy to apply with its paintbrush-like applicator, and has a moisturising formula that didn’t bleed once it set. It also didn’t make lips look flaky.
#4 Courreges Estee Lauder Collection Lip + Cheek Ball in Ultra Pink, $42.
This limited-edition jelly-like gloss comes in a ball-shaped balm that is easy to apply – simply use your finger to dab it on. The translucent berry hue gives cheeks a dewy, natural-looking glow, and its hydrating formula, which lasts an entire day on the cheeks, doesn’t leave a sticky film on skin.
