3 favourite natural beauty productsGiven the option, few people would choose to douse their skin with chemicals, fragrance and preservatives.

Which is why the market for naturally-sourced beauty ingredients has never been more abundant.

The beauty shelves are positively full with skincare goodies packed with purely-derived formulas.

And one beauty guru who can’t sing the praises of natural skincare highly enough is renowned make-up artist Holly Silius.

“Given the option, I choose natural products every time,” says Holly, who has worked with Katy Perry and Thandie Newton.

“I look out for products that are enriched with natural oils, fruit extracts, nut extracts and other goodies and I purposely avoid things I know are full of preservatives and harsh chemicals,”

While naturally-derived skincare is experiencing a boom in demand, there is less emphasis on make-up.

But Holly is keen to point out that there are many cosmetics brands out there offering luxe, naturally-focused goodies.

“I love Korres, which is a Greek brand,” says Holly.

“The skincare is great but their make-up is absolutely gorgeous and the pigments are fabulous – they really hold up against the big cosmetics brands.

“But the best thing is that despite their success they haven’t changed their ingredients or natural ethos.”

Here are Holly’s pick of the best natural beauty goodies:

Dr. Hauschka Deodorant Fresh
This is brilliant. Not only does it do its job well, it’s also rich in sage and witch hazel extracts and is aluminium free. It’s a gentle and easily-absorbed deodorant with a nice herby-fresh scent.

A. Vogel Neem Cream and Neem Shampoo
I first discovered Neem when I was searching the web for a natural way to get rid of my adult acne – and it works. The shampoo is great too. It contains other oils such as sunflower and rosemary, both of which are great for dry, itchy scalps.

Korres Mascara & Eyeliners
I love the Korres eye products. The mascara has extract of Abyssinia oil and Vitamin B to nourish lashes and deliver buildable thickening. Meanwhile the eyeliners are highly pigmented and stay put – plus they’re enriched with meadowfoam oil, which is a great natural oil for hydrating skin and encouraging make-up to last that extra bit longer.
