The London 2012 Olympic Games are a mere six months away and while fashionistas were already set to tune in just to see Team Great Britain’s Stella McCartney-designed kit, UK beauty fans too have a reason to watch thanks to a string of recently announced beauty partnerships.
The Daily Express reports January 3 that world champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis, 25, will front commercials for skincare range Olay Essentials.
Meanwhile, British track cyclist Victoria Pendleton, 31, has been announced as the new UK ambassador for haircare brand Pantene Pro-V’s Smooth & Sleek range and is set to front the line as of spring 2012.
Ennis and Pendleton aren’t the only two British Olympic athletes to have wooed the beauty industry; 24-year-old swimmer Keri-Anne Payne recently revealed her new Max Factor campaign for the brand’s limited edition False Lash Effect Gold mascara on her website.
The sports star was captured by acclaimed fashion photographer Rankin, whose previous subjects have included supermodel Kate Moss and pop star Madonna.
“I did the photo for this with the very famous Rankin and it was such a great experience. Rankin was very funny and made me feel comfortable from the second I arrived,” wrote Payne. –AFP RELAXNEWS
