Troll dolls have been around for a very long time. If you’re in your 20s or 30s you might remember them from your childhood, though they were first created back in 1959 by a Danish woodcutter named Thomas Dam (which resulted in them also being called Dam dolls). The Dam dolls were also referred to as good luck trolls, and unsurprisingly, are thought to be one of the more memorable toys of the 20th century. How’s that for a fun fact?
If you’re wondering about the reason behind the sudden trip down memory lane, it’s because of the new Trolls movie by Dreamworks that’s being released this year (starring the voices of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick as the lead trolls). You can watch the trailer below.
As for the makeup itself, the Mac Good Luck Trolls collection is not for the timid or the tame – the range of shades are meant to match the crazy mix of troll doll colours. If shimmery turquoise lipglass, bright orange or chartreuse lipsticks, super sparkly pigments, and funky packaging sound like your thing, you’re going to love this wacky collection.
