After months of planning in secret, the celebrity wedding everyone is talking about has finally happened! Jesseca Liu and Jeremy Chan had their beachside nuptials at Langkawi surrounded by close friends and relatives. Sticking to their plans for a fuss-free and private celebration, the bride and groom tried to keep their preparations secret for as long as they could although there were rampant rumors and speculations in the media!
It was always Jesseca’s dream to have a beach wedding at her hometown – a simple, pretty event full of personal touches. From the couple’s monogram (designed by a cousin), to the bottled favors of perfumed room spray packaged and decorated by Jessica’s sister and the wedding photo montage created by Jesseca herself, the couple went through every detail with their planner to ensure the day reflected their tastes and personality perfectly.
The festivities started with the tea ceremony at 3.30 with Jeremy dressed in a tailored light wool changsan with green jadeite buttons, and Jesseca in a elegant and chic pink satin silk cheongsam with yellow jadeite buttons. Both outfits are from local designer LaiChan.
After a quick change and beauty touch up, the couple changed outfits for their sunset beach ceremony. Jesseca looked amazing in a Galia Lahav gown from The Proposal, matched with a handmade Swarovski crystal crown by Helan Tan of Gioielli (www.gioielli.sg) Jeremy looked dashing in his own navy blue suit as he performed the Jacky Cheung’s song ‘Love is Eternal’ while the bridal party and Jesseca made their way down to the floral arch by the beach. Surrounded by 10 bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple exchanged their touching self-written vows against the setting sun! Many teared at their sweet words of love and commitment to each other – including me!
After a short break to freshen up, the festivities continued with a 2-piece acoustic band playing before the couple’s second march-in. The ceremony set up was quickly cleared and replaced with tables for the dinner. Paper lanterns hanging from trees lit the whole area with a soft glowing light while flowers and sea-inspired decor decorated the tables.
It was truly a cosy, intimate and romantic evening filled with laughter, music and dancing at the end of the night
