We had an amazing year of weddings from our real couples. Here are 10 gorgeous and romantic celebrations that we hope will inspire yours!
Felicia Tan and Wee Kuo, had a Spanish fiesta-style at Le Meridien, Sentosa, followed by a retro-themed banquet filled with old-school nostalgia for family and relatives at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore. Jenn Tan and Jiaming Soh, both 28, tied the knot in a celebration with a classy gold and white theme at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. "We wanted something classic. As our planning progressed, we realised most of our decisions veered towards a gold and white theme. Then it was love at first sight when we checked out the gorgeous French windows of the elegant Four Seasons Ballroom," shares the couple. Evelyn Chen, 32, and Jesse Van Aart, 35, celebrated their union with a church solemnisation and a light-hearted lunch at Tamarind Hill Restaurant. "Our wedding celebration was kept casual: a mass followed by a simple lunch. While we didn’t have a theme or dress code, when my family found out I was wearing a kebaya for the reception, quite a few wore one as well!" shares the bride. Quek Hui Ying, 26, and Neo Poh Lin, 32, took home many fond memories from their wedding at the InterContinental Hotel. The couple, who met as trainees in the same company, had a burgundy and navy colour palette for their wedding that included DIY touches and a special march-in performance. Fiona Dawn Cher, 27 (also known as SG Budget Babe), and Nicholas Huang, 32, had a Cinderella-themed fairy-tale wedding for 300 guests. "[Our wedding] was executed to perfection by Manna Pot Catering that worked with its design company Floral Artisan. They took care of the food, dessert table, live gelato station, reception decor, flowers and photo area. Thanks to them, we saved over $10,000. The cost of engaging separate vendors would have been much, much more," Fiona says. Cheryl Lee, 30, and Justin Kwan, 34, married in an upbeat dinner party at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore with a performance and a special lucky draw! "We wanted our wedding to be personal and free of traditions," shares the couple. Shauna Oh, and Tan Shuo Xian, both 29, celebrated their wedding with a heartfelt appreciation for the help of friends and family. The couple who met at church camp and were good friends for three years before they got together, had their solemnisation and tea ceremonies, as well as dinner reception at Flower Field Hall in Gardens by the Bay. Angela Zhang, 27, and Shinsuke Fukui, 33, married their customs as well when they tied the knot in a romantic celebration at The Straits Room at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. Their wedding incorporated their traditions as well, with Angela hailing from China and Shinsuke from Japan. "For our wedding, we wanted white and dusty pink as their main wedding colours, but did not want the decor to be overtly cute", says Angela. Vannessa Lee, 25, who owns food ventures A Poke Theory and Alter Ego, married Sean Ng, 27, an auditor, in a rustic barn wedding in Melbourne, Australia. "The warmth and love in the air on our wedding day was overwhelming, and having friends and family fly in from all over brought us so much joy too," says the couple. Sheena Cheong and Benjamin Song, both 31, had a retro Shanghai night extravaganza with live getai and lion dance performances. Employing the expertise of Singapore Tentage & Rental Service, they transformed the hall at the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations into an unforgettable sight.
