From billowy to fluttery and embellished, the emphasis is on wedding dress with sleeves this season with bridal labels dishing out a myriad of ways to cover up in style.

Sweetheart bustiers are bridal classics, and then of course, there's the rise of the minimalist halter gown (thanks to the Meghan Markle effect). But there's another hot trend that's finding its place on almost Fall 2020 bridal runway - wedding dresses with sleeves. And not just Kate Middleton-inspired lace sleeves. A myriad of sleeve styles from bridal houses are spicing up the mix and absolutely stealing the show.
From puffed sleeves that are reminiscent of the '80s to the ever classic lace, here are some of the best covered-up wedding looks we adore right now.
To no one's surprise, the classic lace sleeve is still a hot wedding favourite, adding a touch of elegance and femininity to any gown. Brought to the limelight by Princess Grace of Monaco and subsequently, the Duchess of Cambridge, designers are parading out various iterations of the look.
Peter Langner caters to the classic bride with lace sleeves paired with a satin fit-and-flare, then switches it up with another minimalist structured sheath juxataposed with eye-catching lace sleeves for contemporary brides-to-be.
Inbal Dror offers a sexy option with sheer lace and a plunging neckline, while Costarellos goes for a seemingly off-shoulder look with an illusion neckline.

The vintage bridal trend isn't quite dead and is in fact one of the biggest fashion and bridal trends this year (perhaps thanks to the release of the adaptation of Little Women this year).
From the prairie dress of the early 19th century and other Victorian influences, including voluminous sleeves, bridal labels from Costarellos to Elizabeth Fillmore, and Odylyne The Ceremony have championed the nostalgic look with modern spins.

Off-shoulder wedding dresses have turned from trend to staple but bridal houses now favour them with statement sleeves that garner plenty of attention.
Alon Livne took an avant-garde approach with a cloud of tiered ruffles that cascade and end at the wrists, while Leah Da Gloria presents a romantic and sultry bohemian approach with 3D floral appliques.

Another variant of the off-shoulder-meets-statement-sleeve look: poofy, voluminous sleeves.
This Victorian classic has been remade time and again with modern updates. If you are afraid of being overwhelmed by the billowing fabrics, look for a dress that pares down the big sleeves with a slim bodice.
