"As cliche as it sounds, it was love at first sight for Claire and I. We were on the school tennis team during our polytechnic days, and after bumping into each other on the tennis court one day, we just hit it off.
After dating for nine years, we were ready to settle down and take our relationship to the next level. I chose to propose to Claire on her birthday, and prepared a simple set-up in one of the rooms of The Fullerton Bay Hotel, alongside our close friends and family. They waited outside on the hotel room's balcony, and burst in the moment she said yes.
While I hired a violinist to play in the background as I read my proposal speech to Claire, we ended up asking him to excuse himself from the room less than a minute into the proposal as we felt awkward in his presence! That was quite hilarious."
"We did not have a gate crash, but I had to sing a song before I could enter bridal room. That was probably the funniest and toughest part of the day for me!
This was followed by the traditional tea ceremony, and a quick lunch with our bridal party; whom we wanted to thank for their help. We then headed over to the hotel for our solemnisation and wedding banquet in the evening."
"Since the tennis court was where we first met, we had a tennis theme decor for our main reception area. Our wedding stylist – Wulala! – created a Wimbledon-inspired tennis scoreboard display, which we loved."
"We spent a lot of time worrying over the little details – but they actually worked themselves out on the actual day, so it is best not to sweat over these things.
Also, play to each of your strengths. There were clearly things that Claire was better at than me – and vice versa – so always remember to work as a team, and everything will work out fine."
"The hotel’s ballroom was stunning on its own, so we kept things classy and simple with a neutral colour palette of white and creams.
Mirage Flowers did a great job with the flowers. For our table centrepieces, we had all-white baby’s-breath mixed with foliage, while tall, white blossom trees lined the main aisle where we walked in.
We loved every moment of our wedding day. Seeing all our favourite people there and exchanging our personal vows in front of them were just some of the many highlights of our celebration.
Claire says she remembers holding my hand and feeling overwhelmingly blessed to be my wife."

“It was a surreal feeling for us to be finally married after dating for almost a decade.”
"Claire’s wedding gown search was easy for her since she already had it pictured in her head. When she tried on the Vera Wang gown, she knew instantly that it was the one – none of the other gowns she tried looked as good.
For the evening dress, she wanted something A-line and in blush. When Kenji from Blessed Brides came up with the final design, it had everything she wanted and more."

"We wouldn’t change a thing about the wedding, except maybe shorten certain segments – that would have allowed us to spend more time interacting with our guests.
Our emcee, James Yang, provided endless laughter and entertainment with unanimous positive responses from our guests. Sparkle Live Music was fantastic as well, and so receptive to our song requests."
"After months of intense preparation, there was, inevitably, a huge sense of relief when everything ended.
Also, Claire was just relieved to rest her feet – she had never worn heels for so many hours before!"
