Everything we'd painstakingly prepared for big day came together perfectly. To represent our different cultures, we incorporated red (for Taiwan) and white (France) into the decor, and we gave away French dragees (hard, smooth, candy-coated almonds) in a white box with red ribbons. They are meant to signify good health, abundance, happiness and fertility.

Maintaining a long-distanced relationship was as tough as on our families as it was on us. Both our moms gave emotional speeches after we were married. And I was so grateful to be surrounded by our family and friends. Our first dance as husband and wife was definitely one to remember, too.
