Short, sweet and lacy: 10 ways to steal Kim Tae Hee's simple wedding look

The Korean actress, who is also known as the "Nation's Goddess" for her beauty and career success, opted for a pared-down look for her nuptials with fellow actor, Rain.

It is said that a bride doesn't require much to look beautiful on her wedding day, and it seems Korean actress Kim Tae Hee took that to heart on her very own special day (see more details on the couple's Catholic church wedding ceremony here).

The  Iris  and  Stairway to Heaven  star opted to wear a lace knee-length frock that was designed by her own stylist, accessorised with a simple veil and a posy. Tae Hee, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in fashion design from Seoul National University, is said to have helped design the dress too.

And if you were wondering why the actress chose her particular outfit as opposed to an elaborate confection from a designer label, here's the touching reason behind it, according to her friends (as reported on www.koreaboo.com):

"“The mini dress left a strong impression as it was simple and elegant. She didn’t want to go  for an outlandish look. She chose to wear a mini-dress with simple design that anyone could wear. She did this out of the fact she didn’t want to wear something ostentatious and expensive just because it was celebrity wedding. She felt that the entire country was going through a tough time and she didn’t want the public to feel like they lived in a different world.”
