Any bride-to-be (or friends of brides-to-be) would tell you that choosing a wedding dress is serious business. Of course, one of the most important things a bride has to look out for is budget. After all, what’s the point of blowing tens of thousands on a wedding dress when you can use the money as the down-payment for your BTO flat?

Korean singer Lee Hyo Ri proved that an affordable dress can be just as special and beautiful. The singer, who got married in 2013, revealed that she had bought her wedding dress in Thailand for only 100,000 won ($120). The dress is a simple white maxi, which she paired with a purple flower crown.

Hyo Ri had revealed on an episode of Hyo Ri’s Homestay, “I bought it when I was in my 20s so I could wear it when I got married.”

The celeb had gotten married in a low-key ceremony in Jeju Island – in the backyard of her home. Instead of riding a wedding car, her wedding photo showed her and her husband riding a bicycle.

The singer, who went on a hiatus for a few years, recently released her new album. She is known for her devil-may-care attitude, but is passionate towards philanthropic causes, including advocating for animal rights.
