From flat roots to effortless volume: A two-in-one experience that lasts beyond the salon

Tucked within a spa at Raffles City Shopping Centre, Hair Soul by Wee-G isn’t the kind of place you stumble upon – and that, it turns out, is entirely the point.

Shazrina arrived with broad requirements: keep the length, avoid anything bob-like. What followed was a detailed consultation in which Wee assessed her face shape, identified why her existing cut wasn’t serving her, and explained what he needed to change to add volume – her previous style had left her hair looking flat and thin. 

The entire session was handled by Wee himself, with no handoffs mid-cut.

After the cut, the scalp treatment begins with a targeted serum application, followed by a deep cleanse with water jets where the intensity is adjustable. One caveat: the water jet is intense by design, as it targets hair growth and scalp health through deep stimulation. 

Wee also conducted a scalp analysis, showing before-and-after results in real time. “My scalp felt extremely clean, and my hair looked noticeably more voluminous,” says Shazrina. 

Post-session, the difference was practical as much as aesthetic. “My hair feels a lot lighter and easier to manage – airy, bouncy and more voluminous,” says Shazrina.

Daily maintenance proved simple. As someone who washes her hair every day, she found blow-drying fuss-free, with her natural waves preserved – no curling or straightening needed. The scalp benefits held too, with her hair remaining full-bodied and clean-feeling in the following few days.

The studio rounds the pampering off with a Bluetooth sound system for your own playlist and a mounted iPad for Netflix during your treatment.
