Amidst the wave of edgy, androgynous womenswear flooding the racks, Singapore fashion label Zardoze is bringing sexy back. Just slip into one of the feminine, figure-hugging pieces from the label’s debut Autumn Winter 2012 collection, and you’ll feel like a glamorous Carrie Bradshaw-esque sophisticate, cocktail in hand.

Officially launching in Robinsons in September 2012, the team of designers behind Zardoze’s first ready-to-wear collection was inspired by Persian mystique, as well as the luxurious fabrics, exotic colours and intricate embroidery synonymous with that culture.

The results are a mix of shapely silhouettes and glittering sunset shades that will take you from day to night in arresting fashion. Think sequin body-con dresses, embellished jumpsuits and fluid, asymmetrical silk frocks: A treasure trove for the classy party girl.

“Zardoze encapsulates the essence of distinctive feminine style. The Zardoze woman is poised and exudes regality. Our ready-to-wear line puts an embellished twist on everyday wear,” says Zardoze co-founder and director, Raveena LK.

Wearing Zardoze certainly requires a measure of sass. Almost every piece is embellished with some form of glitter, but that doesn’t mean you have to reserve it for nights out only. Their versatile stretch jersey jumpsuits, for example, are great for the office – just pair them with a smart blazer and covered heels. The rather affordable price point is another reason why you should give Zardoze a shot.

Apart from their ready-to-wear line, Zardoze will also roll out two more collections this year. Panthea, their couture series, will focus on elaborate evening gowns and dresses, and will be available at the Zardoze Showroom at #02-12, 21 Club Street. A third Holiday collection is slated to hit stores in November 2012.

Zardoze’s Autumn Winter 2012 collection is available exclusively from Robinsons Marina Bay Sands and Robinsons Centrepoint from September. Prices start at $150 and go up to $450. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/Zardoze
