Scouring around the country for new food haunts, queueing overnight for the latest designer collaborations (cough-cough LV x Supreme, cough-cough) as well as shopping for new fashion must-haves, these are just some of the many things that we think Singaporeans love doing.

Lucky for you, this month sees the launch of several new stores right here on our sunny island. From fashion and lifestyle to beauty and wellness, consider your shopping needs sorted with the following new store openings.

#1 Tangs Beauty Services

Looking for a place to get plucked, coiffed and primmed? You’ll want to swing by Tangs at Tang Plaza which has recently spruced up its fourth level and turned it into a beauty haven.

Here, you’ll be able to indulge in a suite of treatments and services that’ll take good care of your hair, face and body. Some of the biggest names in beauty that you’ll find here include Clé de Peau Beauté, Dior Institut and Lancôme, just to name a few.

Dr Georgia Lee, arguably one of the most famous and stylish doctors in Singapore, has also opened her DrSpa and first-ever DrHair boutique here, offering award-winning treatments that’ll toss your hair woes out the window.

#2 Balmain

Fans of Olivier Rousteing, here’s a reason to celebrate! The French luxury label Balmain has recently opened the doors of its first-ever standalone store in the whole of Southeast Asia. And guess what — it’s right here in Singapore.

Situated at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, the collections that you’ll find here include the latest women’s and men’s ready-to-wear pieces, bags, shoes and accessories that are designed by Rousteing, Balmain’s Creative Director.

In short, expect a lot of rich textures, luxe leathers and over-the-top embellishments that promise to steal all the limelight for you wherever you go.

#3 Muji

If you think that Muji’s new store at Plaza Singapura is just another Muji store, think again. Besides being its largest flagship store in Southeast Asia, it boasts similar retail concepts all the way from Muji Japan.

For the first time, you’ll find an exhibition area in a Muji store here. The Found Muji exhibition — which runs from now until September 3 — displays 1,500 everyday items from Muji’s archives that are sourced from all around the world. These items have all inspired the Muji merchandise that you see today.

And if you’re shopping for presents, make sure you swing by the the Muji Embroidery Station to take your gift to the next level. Here, you’ll be able to choose from over 200 designs and letterings to customise any Muji fabric products (think handkerchiefs and totes).

#4 Dover Street Market

Rumours of a possible Dover Street Market opening in Singapore started brewing as early as late 2015 so it’s no surprise that this luxury multi-label boutique is one of the most anticipated store openings this year. In fact, we heard that eager Nike fans started queuing the night before the opening to check out Nike’s first ever Southeast Asia NikeLab.

With a stockist boasting many fashion big names such as the likes of Gucci, J.W.Anderson, Loewe, as well as high-street labels like Converse and Adidas. And to celebrate this joyous occasion, numerous brands including Celine, Gucci and Converse have brought in Singapore-exclusive products (such bags, t-shirts, bomber jackets).

#5 kikki.K

After undergoing a facelift, the newly refurbished kikki.K ION Orchard store has finally opened its doors. Besides offering its latest stationery and lifestyle collections (we’re especially loving the 10 Year Plan journal), there’s also a new and permanent monogramming station.

This service, available exclusively for kikki.K’s Monogramming series, will allow you to personalise your notebooks with your own initials for an extra fee that starts from $12.90. Check out ours here.
