According to a press release, the flagship store will reveal original concepts adapted from Muji Japan and serve as a community ground for people “to come together, explore design and arts ideas, and experience various learning anchors”.

More than just a retail concept, the new store will have an open space which will be used for educational activities on culture, art and design. These will include exhibitions, galleries, creative workshops and talks.

Fans of the store can also look forward to new merchandise lines including Muji Labo, a basic apparel line; and Idee, a brand that includes original furniture, houseware, textile, apparel, gardening goods and stationery.
