Reopened earlier this month on Dec 5, the newly expanded two-storey Chanel fashion boutique at the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands now enjoys an extended unit, boasting a new total floor area of more than 9,200 sqft. It is currently the largest Chanel boutique in Southeast Asia.

The interior of the boutique is reminiscent of the legendary Gabrielle Chanel’s own Parisian apartment on 31, rue Cambon, taking you through the chronicles of Chanel’s heritage and aesthetic sensibilities with its cleverly designed space.

The House’s emblematic colours — beige, black and white — are widely used together with Chanel’s signature fabrications (think tweed carpets and couches).

Seated next to the Chanel beauty boutique, the refined, lavish and contemporary vicinity invites you in with an array of the season’s newest accessories displayed on the storefront on the first storey. The plenitude of Chanel handbags, small leather goods, costume jewellery, scarves and eyewear continues downstairs, in the basement level, which is divided into two spacious rooms where you’ll also discover a key selection of watches and fine jewellery pieces. Further along, you’ll find a room carrying the brand’s shoe collections within an intimate and warm ambience.

The six ready-to-wear “salons” present to you the latest collections by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. You’ll easily spot the direct influences of Mademoiselle Chanel’s former apartment here: an imposing antique fireplace, cognac-hued walls and a mirrored wall backdrop, all mingling artfully with specially commissioned contemporary artworks and furniture. One of the “salons” may be closed off entirely by hidden doors for the highest level of service and privacy to the clients.

It seems to us the brand is going for nothing but the uttermost luxurious experience for the ‘Chanel Girl’, after all.
