11 chic-but-comfy heeled wedges that will elevate your weekend style...literally
You can now keep your heels high but bid goodbye to blistering pain
By June Chen -
Here’s your potential Saturday sitch: You have a full day of shopping planned out and there’s no time to waste. In serious sale-shopping prep, you have to decide between wearing your favourite pair of heels but risk limping midday, or just completely ditch it for a functional pair of sandals. Sometimes, this choice leads us all into an existential crisis. We just cannot cope with the pressure of decision.
The heels make us feel like we run the town, but the sandals would allow us to ACTUALLY run around town. Having already donned the stilettos last weekend and ended up with vicious blisters, those flat sandals never looked so good right now. But that’s the main issue here - the comfortable sandals do not really look that good. But then nor do plastered heels and toes.
Thankfully, there’s always a middle ground and we’re happy to welcome ‘the wedge’.The wedge is a savvy shopper’s shoe of choice, combining the need to look good on a Saturday (in case you bump into THAT ex) with the need to stay on your feet until the bank account is empty or you’re ready to drop, whatever comes first.
