As winter draws to a warmer end in March, cherry blossoms come into full bloom with the onset of spring.

The pink and white flowers of the sakura trees draw visitors all over the world to seasonal countries like Japan, South Korea and even the Himalayas.

The Japan Meteorological Corporation has just released its first forecast for the blossoming of the Somei-Yoshino cherry trees, Japan Today reported.

The first blossoms are predicted to appear in Tokyo on March 22, followed by Fukuoka and Nagoya a day later.

Visitors can expect to see the blooms in Osaka on March 28 and Sendai on April 10.

According to the report, the sakura season will reach its peak on March 30.

Be sure to book your hotel stays early if you are planning on visiting Japan for the sakura season.
