VIETNAMESE CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBITION
This exhibition presents an Asian perspective of the world, showcasing contemporary paintings by 53 year old Vietnamese artist Hong Viet Dung, and works by up-and-coming young Vietnamese talents, namely Tran Quang Huan, Pham Hoang Anh, Nguyen Hai Anh, Nguyen Thi Hoai Thuong, Do Ngoc Cuong and Le Anh Can.

WORLD PRESS PHOTO EXHIBITION 2014
From 8 to 30 March, 154 stunning photos by the world’s top 54 photographers will be on show in the iconic setting of Raffles Hotel. The award-winning photos form an eyewitness record of global events from the previous year, giving the viewer a chance to revisit some of the most significant moments of 2012, such as the Syrian conflict and the London Olympic Games. From a total of 103,481 images submitted to the 56th contest by 5,666 photographers, these photos were judged to be the best across nine categories. Of these entries 23 photographers were from Singapore.

NAILS FOR A CAUSE
Get your nails done and make a difference to someone’s life today. In partnership with the Singapore Cancer Society, a beneficiary of cervical cancer, Parkway Parade aims to raise awareness and bring smiles to women everywhere by hosting the largest manicure event “Nails for A Cause”. All proceeds will go to fundraising to benefit the Singapore Cancer Society.

LA NAVE (THE SHIP) FILM SCREENING
The Italian Cultural Institute presents a rare Silent movie La Nave (The Ship) from 1921 about the birth of the city of Venice. The Film will be screened for the first time in Singapore and it will be accompanied by a live piano recital by acclaimed Maestro Vincent Chen. The film Captions will be recited live in English by Ms. Rachel Tay and Ms. Hannah Lucas. The special screening will be introduced by Prof. Andrea Nanetti from Nanyang Technological University who will talk about the film and the concept of “Birth of a Nation” that inspired this motion picture.
