This activation fee is a standard lump sum payment that is typically paid for upfront at the start of gym membership contracts.

Virgin Active Managing Director of Southeast Asia, Christian Mason says that after having a deeper understanding of the members’ needs and wants, the brand is taking this step to change the landscape of the health and fitness industry. The removal of the activation fee was also done in order to make working out and getting fit more accessible for its members.
