Christmas and the New Year are just around the corner, and all one could ask for during the festive season is a fresh, sumptuous meal (or two) to celebrate the holidays. At the 7adam Restaurant Gallery, you will be given exactly what you yearn for – something new, refreshing and indulgent.

Ushering in Christmas and the New Year, 7adam has created meals “fit for a King” – think thick cuts of wagyu beef and Atlantic cod.

Name of restaurant: 7adam Restaurant Gallery
Type of cuisine: Western dishes, sometimes with an Asian fusion
Ambience: Located in the quaint and quiet section of 7adam Park, the restaurant sits on a hill overlooking Adam Road, allowing diners to gaze out the windows.

Indoors, the restaurant is spacious and cozy with wood furnishings, with contemporary art pieces placed around the restaurant. While waiting for the next course of your meal, you can get up and walk around to admire the art.

Must tries (Christmas menu):

The veloute (soup thickened with butter and cream) of sweet peas with wild berries coulis and crème fraiche may look daunting at first, but as you taste it, the soup proves to be a delicious and creamy treat with a tinge of tanginess from the wild berries.

For those who love spices, the pan seared masala Atlantic cod with chorizo, and carrot puree will be the perfect dish for you. With spices like masala and cumin, normally used in Indian cuisines, in this dish, the cod and puree is refreshing, which leaves you wanting more.

Must tries (New Year menu):

The appetizer of citrus cured ocean trout rolls topped with ikura and de-constructed Nori-wrapped sushi, is a quirky contemporary fusion of the East and West. With the rice and the fish presented separately on the plate, you can choose to eat it separately, or together. Covered with herbs and yuzu dressing, the ocean trout has a tangy taste to it, which is thoroughly refreshing.

If you need a protein fix, the grilled wagyu beef sirloin with shallot compote, mushroom ragout and butternut puree is the dish to go for. Grilled to a perfect medium rare, the beef is soft and chewy, yet not oozing blood out when you cut into it. The butternut puree, sweet and creamy, goes well with the beef as well, neither overpowering the other.

Verdict:
