It’s a common saying that Disney World is the happiest place on earth but in our opinion, Resorts World Sentosa comes a very close second. A family gathering that doesn’t involve schlepping everybody to a foreign country? A day out at Universal Studios. A date that doesn’t involve just a dinner and movie? A night viewing of fireworks at Shrek’s Castle. Need to post an #ootd but fake being in a foreign country? Take one at the New York zone. Just in time for the March holidays (that’s if, if you have kids. For the rest of us, it’s an excuse to head there again), Universal Studios Singapore has three activities lined up that’re both friend and family friendly.

National Geographic’s Ocean Wonders : 10th March to 20th May. (pictured above)

Home to over 1,000 species and across 50 habitats, the sea folks at S.E.A Aquarium aren’t just largest, fast and amazing – you can now go on a photography trail conducted by the museum to capture featured animals such as the sand tiger shark and others. Bonus if you’re perpetually hooked onto Instagram – you can upload photos to stand a chance at winning attractive prizes.

If you have a kid tagging along, they can participate in the first ever National Geographic Ocean Exploration Children’s workshop – a full day programme that has guided tours, exclusive documentary screenings and interactive activities at both S.E.A Aquarium and the Maritime Experiential Museum.

The Search for the Junior Maritime Explorer

15 immersive galleries at Maritime Experiential Museum including five brand new zones, a Typhoon Theater that simulates a sinking ship in a storm and exhibitions dedicated to four legendary seafarers – Marco Polo, Sang Nila Utama, Ibn Battuta and Zheng He but, there can only be one Junior Maritime Explorer who will star on National Geographic’s show “Maritime Adventures.”

To enter your kid in this contest, submit a short news-report style video (it should not exceed 90 seconds) filmed at the Maritime Experiential Museum and upload it on Youtube or Facebook (remember to set it to public). Lastly, submit your details here – http://juniormaritimeexplorer.com/contest-page-details/.

TrollsTopia : 9th March to 29th April.

Fact one : It’s hard not to smile whenever we see a character from DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls anywhere. Fact two : Justin Timberlake should have performed the movie’s hit song “Can’t Stop The Feeling” at his Superbowl 2018 performance. Fact three : We’re just as excited as you to visit TrollsTopia – an immersive world with two musical shows, a dance party that’s filled with glitter and virtual reality games for both kids and kid-ults to play.

Tickets at Universal Studios Singapore starts at $72 for adults and comes with a complimentary $5 meal voucher.

Tickets for S.E.A Aquarium or Maritime Experiential Museum starts at –
$34 or $9 respectively for adults age 13 to 59.
$22 or $6 respectively for children age 4 to 12.
$22 or $5 respectively for senior citizens age 60 and above.
