Just like that, January is over! That means a clean slate and a clean calendar page for more me-time.

1. Crate & Barrel New Home Fair 2018
Couples and soon-to-be homeowners, this is the place to be this weekend. At the inaugural Crate & Barrel New Home Fair, you’ll find all kinds of vendors you need to turn your home and decor dreams into a reality – whether it’s flooring or curtains, what you need will be there.
Another thing you can look forward to are tips and demonstrations on how to style your bed and bookshelf, as well as huge discounts on Crate & Barrel’s products.

2. Twilight Flea & Feast: Love & be loved
Inspired by Australia’s street food markets, Twilight Flea & Feast will bring to you the tastiest and trendiest bites from around the world to you – while you shop at little pop-ups or catch a good old movie under the stars (think Finding Nemo, Toy Story and The Princess Diaries).
The second edition centres around love, so be sure to bring your loved ones along! For a taste of bites: there’s ooey gooey mac & cheese, delicious takoyaki and Broti SG’s milk tea blends.

3. Terrarium Workshop

Also celebrating love is Green Banana’s terrarium workshop, where you’ll learn how to make your own closed terrarium. For the price, you’ll get the materials and the knowledge on how to make your own little garden, plus how to upkeep it.
Then bring home your creation (which will have a mini swan) and leave it in your office to brighten up your living space, or gift it to a loved one.

4. Freedom Yoga presents Soulfest

It’s a day to kick off your shoes and pull out those yoga clothes buried in your closet. There will be three main workshops going on at Soulfest – Sound Bath Meditation that uses sounds to help you heal and relax, which will be conducted by Kalpana Nathan; SoulFlow by Princess Lai, where you’ll participate in choreographed yoga as music plays in the background; Blindfold Yoga which teaches you to purely focus on yourself as you take part in Vinyasa/ Hatha yoga.
There will also be an array of wares and services like massages, cold pressed juices and wholesome food.

5. W Market presents CNY Pop Up @ Capitol Piazza
In collaboration with Capitol Piazza, W Market will be having their next event circling the Chinese New Year. Expect some good food, crafts and of course, retail vendors for you to spend a tad – to prepare for the festive season of course. You might even bump into the God of Prosperity, Cai Shen Ye, as he moves around the market from 1pm – 2pm. There will also be a LED Lion Dance performance in the evening, on both days.
If you live in the North, you can look forward to the pop-up too when it makes an appearance at Hillion Mall on Feb 9 to Feb 11.

6. Watercolour Workshop with Jovial Crafts
Expand your skill set and take part in the therapeutic, artsy craft of watercolour calligraphy. Victoria of Jovial Crafts produces handmade notebooks and designs tote bags and prints, which come to life with their vibrant, fluid colours.
At the two-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to create the same effect so you too can create dainty art. Since it’s at Twilight Flea & Feast, you could pop over for a snack or two after you’re done.

7. Chinatown Festivities

Chinatown is coming to life this festive season, with a myriad of activities. Be it a floral market to buy your festive blooms, a dog-themed carnival just for your furry fiends, or the festive street bazaar for all your Chinese New Year needs and goodies. To top off, there’s the bright, twinkly light-up that never fails to amaze both adults and the kids.
There’s no way you won’t have anything to do there, so head there to experience the full package.
